Tomorrow is our weekly date for Renaissance Festival and it will be their weekend of Chocolate and Romance. It also will be my 33rd wedding anniversary. Yes, 33 years ago (tomorrow), forty pounds lighter and one thousand miles away, I said "I do" and joined my life with the man I considered my best friend. He was one of two men who actually interested me for longer than six months. He kept me guessing, entertained, could carry on conversation on a variety of topics, shared similar interests, and in general seemed like a good bet. Although I have my issues with him on and off, there is a great deal of basic love and respect and I would make the same decision again. At least on most good days - LOL.

I was supposed to spend yesterday cleaning my house. I did...but I also spent more than four hours just writing my next chapter. OK, I was bad. I did errands in the morning that needed to be done and I got my three loads of laundry complete, changed the sheets on the bed and I did some minor touch-up in the bathroom that I wanted to do. But I had really wanted to tackle the den and that didn't happen. I have two cleaning days left until Sharon arrives next week, and it doesn't look good.

DH has a pre-season football game on Saturday night. I was planning to go to the State Fair with him for dinner and roaming. I'll have to see what happens. I pre-purchased the tickets, but there usually isn't a problem re-selling them outside the gates, it's just one more thing that I'll have to do next week unless DH changes his mind.

And my cousin sent photos of her daughter's wedding. I was originally planning to go to the wedding, but reality hit my bank balance and I knew it would be too much money, so I stayed behind and did Irish Faire instead. It was all good. So now her daughter, a 100% California girl, is living in Nebraska. Quite a change. It looks like it was a lovely wedding though.

Step one of my BFAC is now complete (there will be a lot of steps, so don't think that I'm that far ahead of anyone - LOL). But the glasswork that I wanted to make for the piece turned out very well. Now I have some decisions to make - size and whether or not I'll do any embellishment. I have a bit of time to spread my beads out again and make sure I have everything that I want to use available.

Happy Wedding, Kate and William

We're getting close to the arrival of Kate Middleton to Westminster Abbey, the Queen is in her car coming to the Abbey just now, so things are well under way. The Royal Brothers are spiffy in red and blue, and the Queen is in yellow. Carol Middleton was in a lovely lilac and I really enjoyed her hat. The hats at this wedding are over the top. I really hope that someone does a fashion spread of the hats, there are so many marvelous ones. Camilla is very conservatively dressed - that's appropriate. And Prince Philip is in red, just as Prince William is. Apparently that's the dress of the Irish Guards. All I know is a lot of cochineal beetles gave up their lives for that red - LOL. The Queen has arrived and the bells are peeling.  Party on, London and ye Brits.  Enjoy your day.  Well, I'm going to watch this wedding and enjoy it. I think that they are a great couple and I wish them all the best in what is bound to be a very public married life.

So today I'm back to work, my rose is sitting next to me brightening up my day, two electricians were found to make quotations on rewiring my father-by-marriage's home, two new CPA's have been found to phone and switch my business to one of them, and my kiln is still clicking as it goes through a VERY long cycle to fuse the first 4x4 square I'm making for my BFAC pieces.

Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's Off to Work I Go

I'm caught up on writing challenges, so I can either spend my mornings working on art or beadwork, or I can continue working more chapters of my Original Female Character.  She's been very well received by my fellow writers and is turning into a very popular character.  I have a good book that I'm in the process of reading all - that's probably where my efforts will go today.  I'm too tired to expend a great deal of energy.  24 Hours and Counting until the Royal Wedding.
